Naked and Famous — Weird Guy Greencast
Size: 34, Length of Wear: 1 year, How Many Washes: 15+
Picked these up in June 2012. Gave them a soft wash at 1 month, washing machine at 3 months, and they’ve been in and out of the machine on a regular basis since. They’ve become my “play jeans” as you might be able to tell from the paint on them. I think it goes to show you can treat your raw denim however you’d like and still have an interesting end result. After a couple repairs I will bring them back into my regular rotation.

Levi’s — 501 STF
Size: 32, Length of Wear: 5 months, How Many Washes: Never
I bought my first pair of raw denim (these 501s) before moving to Spain. I didn’t want to go all in on a pair of LVC for my first pair so I went with the non-selvedge unsanfordized 501 STF. I picked up a pair at a local feed store for like $30 so I wouldn’t be out too much if the first soak didn’t go well and I hated the fit. The first soak went fine but they were still stiff as all hell before I left the states. I wore them near daily for the first three months including hiking and a few trips to the beach (though not for a sea wash). After that I’ve worn them every other day or so until now. I am posting them now because I got some mud on the back and am washing them today for the first time. I am not posting the after-wash pics with this post.

Folta & Co — 026-68
Size: 31, Length of Wear: 2 years, How Many Washes: 15+
Another evolution pictures we got from one of our fellow, a pair of Folta 026-68. The Cone Mills White Oak fabric has successfully given an amazing vintage fades on these jeans after more than 2 years and uncountable washes. Really love the ropping effects as a result of using an old vintage machine , Union special 43200, for hemming construction. This pair has brought us back to the old times once again.

Size: 32, Length of Wear: 6 months, How Many Washes: 1
While working for the brand I dealt largely with wash treatment and became more and more interested in the more special and natural wearing treatments. this pair was a pair that never made it to retail, but the samples i did have, well i had some fun with them, as a total there were 5pairs made up in this batch and this is the first of them.
the denims were worn for three months and then buried for a further three in extremely fertile soil, final product cant be worn due to the break down of the base cloth but the effects are brilliant to say the least. it’s been rinsed once on retrieval and thats it.
the denim itself is Raw, turbo denim from the Isko mills.
