They don't look really used for a wear of 1.5 years
I was about to say the same thing as Alex…
How often did you wear these throughout those 1.5 years?
He may not have as active of a lifestyle as some? But yeah I am curious as well as to how often a week/month these were worn.
I was going to say what the first three said, these can't be a 365 days a year job. Still I bet they'd look good after a wash.

i have the same and they fade really slowly. They are verry dark indigo
They don't fade that slow!
I wore a pair for a month, didn't see any fading at all. Did a hot shower soak and these things have been bleeding indigo hard core.
I'm currently wearing one on a motorcycle ride in India (you can see some pics at http://facebook.com/pensophotography) and it looks new after 2 months use, even with all the dust and crap it gets. No wash except the bottom part of the jean, as it's really dirty with the bike and the dirt.
