Baldwin – The 77
Sort by details: Baldwin, , , ,

THE DETAILS
Size: 30 Length of Wear: 12 months How Many Washes: Never Washed

Purchased in October of ’09 and 12 months later, am about to soak them for the first time.

I’ve worn these on average 3-4 times a week over the last year.

I carry a Moleskine in one pocket for writings/notes/etc(something like “Rules for My Unborn Son” but I’m doing it a bit differently) and then my wallet in the other pocket. The front right pocket is where my iPhone resides. Best pair of jeans I’ve ever had.

Atelier LaDurance – Prescott
Sort by details: Atelier LaDurance, , , ,

THE DETAILS
Size: 34 Length of Wear: Little over a year How Many Washes: Never Washed

This regular Prescott of the French Atelier LaDurance was my first pair of non-Nudie dry denim. I liked them and I wore them here and I wore them there. But, once I bought my Prescott Selvage, this one kinda ended up in the forgotten section. Unlike its Selvage brother it mostly stayed away of raves and festivals, and it shows. Sure, it’s got some wear, but not as much as it deserves. Who knows what adventures lie in the future…

Nudie Jeans – Slim Jim Dry Japan
Sort by details: Nudie Jeans Co., , , ,

THE DETAILS
Size: 34 Length of Wear: 2 years How Many Washes: 1

This slim one is a true raver. It went from tunnel raves to massive festivals to nasty after parties, not ever getting enough of it. The dance floor was its place. On the way to some illegal rave in Amsterdam they slipped in the grass and ripped open the left knee, but that got fixed and is ok again now. With its wild movements however, the crotch area got ripped up again for a second time again, not so long after its first fix (and its visit to the dry cleaner, by the way). Afraid of becoming a lost case it currently awaits impatiently for its second journey to the tailer. The time will come this one will rave again. Until then, this one is on hold and others will be doing the raving.

Atelier LaDurance – Prescott Selvage
Sort by details: Atelier LaDurance, , , ,

THE DETAILS
Size: 34 Length of Wear: Under a year How Many Washes: 1

This one is a new project that went off to a false start, only a few months in. This is what you get when you take your jeans to a weekend long music festival with tons of rain and mud, and dance wildly anyway. Yes, jeans are meant to be worn and jeans are indeed meant to get dirty, but this is a whole new level of dirty. After coming back home they surprised even the most experienced dry cleaner in town, whom finally accepted to clean them for an extra charge. I agreed, and this is the result (you guess which picture is before and which one is after). I am not yet ready to call this project a fail, hope exists for them to continue to fade, even though they were cleansed too early. Time will tell.
