I’ve been wearing these pretty regularly for the last 4 months (5 – 6 times a week) and gave them a hot soak around month 5 to get them cleaned up and also to shrink them down a little. These are 14oz Kuroki selvedge denim

First off, sorry about the gritty quality of the pics. I’m afraid it doesn’t get any better with an iPhone.
1 ocean soak.
The denim is 19oz Kurabo denim from Japan. The jeans are made in Sweden. Leather for the super thick patch is produced in Tärnsjö, Sweden. I’ve been wearing these jeans since april 2012 and I LOVE THESE JEANS! These are the best pair of raw denim I’ve come across so far. Every single detail is well thought out, like the buttons in the fly, which are sown on instead of hammered. Sown with kevlar thread from DuPont. It’s fibers are 5 times stronger than steel. The selvage lining is yellow/yellow on the right leg and yellow/blue on the left. Only interlock and chainstitch seams used. Additional details are:
- triple stitching on yoke and inseam
- chain stitched hems
- reinforcement inside the back pockets, double bartack on the stress points of the back pockets
- genuine copper rivets mounted by hand (by Per-Ivan Hagberg himself)
- V-shape back belt loop
- a hidden iPhone pocket inside the left front pocket.

3 months of 5 wears/week. 1 pre-wear soak and now 1 wash (got REALLY muddy).
These aren’t even close to where I want them yet but wanted to post because no one has posted fade pics of United’s anywhere as far as I can tell.

My first pair of raw denim. Gave it the first wash around the 1 year mark. Wore it almost everyday for the first 3 months and subsequently at least 4 days a week.

Now hit 6 months on my Edwins (see previous post at 3 months, no wash). Been washed with a small amount of washing liquid on a cool wash to clear out the baby sick! Started tight after wash but have loosened quickly.

I’ve actually had this pair for almost 4 years, but the actual length of continuous wear would be about 2 years. I still wear them here and there, along with my other pairs; however, it’s hard to wear them as much as I used to due to their “delicate” state… Haha. With many holes, wear, and tear, this pair sure has a real tale to tell. Enjoy!
