These were one of the earlier runs of 3Sixteen’s denim. This was my first pair of raw denim. I wore these almost everyday for a year and then a few days a week for another year. I retired them after the 3rd crotch blowout which came at a good time since I had lost a little weight and the pants no longer fit the same. I wasn’t too active during the time I wore these. I mainly sat in my office with a quick bike ride to and from work.
The vertical fading is my favorite part of the jeans. I loved these so much that I own two other pairs of 3sixteens!

This was my first pair of raw denim. I’ve had them coming up on three years now, and the only repair I have had to make is a patch on the (my) left knee.
These have been through the proverbial ringer, to say the least, and I think they’ve broken in about as perfectly as any pair of jeans I’ve seen. I’ve rinsed them a few times out of pure necessity, and though they are a little bit thin these days (when I put them on after wearing my I+W’s, they feel like they might as well be made of paper), that’s to be expected, I reckon, given their age/wear.
These are my go-to jeans for all-things boots. I was/am hoping to get one more winter out of them, but I think at this point I might be forced to couple them with some long johns, as the wind very easily gets through them nowadays.
I have debated picking up a new pair for the winter, but I keep resisting, as I’m not quite ready to retire these for regular use.

1 soak, 1 seawater wash, and 1 machine wash. Worn hard and heavy for 6 months with the most wear and tear in the knees, crotch, and butt. More repairs than I can count in the crotch, both outseams, back pockets, fly, and pretty much everywhere. These have been falling apart much quicker than my previous pair of APCs and I’ll probably wear them to failure.

I’m a denim artist. The artwork on my Eternal 883 was very much inspired by Japanese art. Especially the legendary Hokusai.
I must say that Eternal 883 indigo is well known for fast fading…with beautiful contrast. The 14.5oz denim is perfectly suited to tropical climate. Not too heavy, easy to move your body. I’ve been climbing stairs to 14th floor every weekends!
